By ordinance, the Water Advisory Board consists of one member of the City Council, one member of the Planning Commission, one winery customer, and two public members, one of whom shall be solely a residential customer. The members of the Water Advisory Board were appointed at the January 12, 2021 City Council Meeting.

Overview

The City Council appoints the Water Advisory Board. By ordinance it consists of one member of the City Council, one member of the Planning Commission, one winery customer, and two public members, one of whom shall be solely a residential customer. The Director of Public Works is an ex officio member. It automatically dissolves upon cessation of the Phase II (or higher) Water Shortage Emergency.

The relevant provisions of the St. Helena Municipal Code are 13.04.230(C)(8) (the composition of Water Advisory Board), 13.04.240 (Phase II water regulations, and 13.04.280 (Exception permits, including duties of the Water Advisory Board).
